I was jerking around with the undead encounters after the update (didnt do much stealth before so i cant say if its updaterelated) and my character (a statswise customised Survivor around Lvl 3/4) basically cleaned them out solo. Even the one with the boars on both sides. The reason for that was, that in Stealth (+ Assassin perk) i was often able to make the Tripleshot backstabby & critical. Do the math. Undead mage goes down after first move. So far not a real concern, buuuuut....after that my Char didnt get revealed. So i carried on killing everyone using triple, sneak and the jump skill for positioning. I dont know if the perception of the undead guys is so bad or whatever, but in my opinion playing solo shouldnt be easier than in group. smile

And btw thx for making this game - taking back my beloved RPG's from the casuals. laugh

How high was your Sneak skill? I think the higher it is, the higher the chances you have of remaining undetected. There is a check for seeing if you get noticed when you attack from sneak.

Not very high (dunno exactly), but im pretty sure i got the Perk that improves staying hidden. But anyways, since my char wasnt that high in Lvl, i feel the devs should rework the perception Vs Sneaking check somehow.

I just spend a bit more time playing around with the stealth and i think after cleaning out almost every encounter (except orcs & statuedemons) with one ranged guy (survivor) i think i figured out the problem.

if you keep out of range of their FOV it seems they arent even able to do a perception check on you - they just shutdown. They stop moving around or anything. I feel theres some tuning needed, like for example some harder dicerolls towards the stealthcheck or some mechanic that automatically reveals you after you attacked (which is the case, at least i think, if you melee someone), otherwise id had to think of the battlemechanics as broken. just pick two survivors, skill stealth and bow and kill every encounter without even been seen. smile

Thats it for now.

Yes, we know, working on it smile

Stealth is too powerful from the start, and in combat, AI does not react properly to it.

thanks for the response, didnt really think you guys would let this slip, but i couldnt find any threads around that topic so i felt the obligation to get it in here.

Keep on making my favorite game of the year.
