Ofc u work together to overcome enemies-there is many "combos" - combinations of attack which work together very effectively - for example your mage teleports weak-low HP enemy to your badass warrior and he kills it at first chance he get without spending action points to move. Turn based system allows only one character or NPC at the time to do an action - so simultaneous attacks aren't possible.

It is possible to move after attack provided that u still have action points left.

I donno about any gay romances but i think those will be possible as well since u can have major characters of the same gender.

Respec possibility. I very much doubt. Mybe once and at great cost ofc, this is SP and many exploits could be possible with this, also roleplay would be broken - once u are ranger with affinity for animals and next time u are some fat dumb badass warrior skilled only to killing stuff. Its a RolePlayingGame-RPG after all so u have to use your skills wisely.
