Hi,
first time i play a Alpha, first time i registered in a developer-forum, first time i provide feedback wink

I followed the game/trailers/mechanics/interviews long time, so you are totally right and you knows the differences comparing to other RPG´s / specialities of the game as well of the complexitiy very well and pointed it out a couple of times, so i will not go into these Details. Just confirming you are right!

From my very first subjectiv impression it feels very good, atmosphere is great, i feel the role-playing (means identifying with the chars) remember to my first game experiences of RPG´s (i am an older gamer of 37) what i did not feel a long time - resp. search for for long time... skills, skillsystems, game-mechanics are on a high level and well sophisticated,, many Details on the map to explore, etc.

I guesss the Background Music/Sound are not finalized, so there you could do a bit more finetuning

What i would really like to appreciate is infight : to "Focus" the opponents, means if i currently mouseover the opponents Icon i see if the are affected to any spells like "burning" but if i do not know the Icon i have a Problem.
So in short i would like to mouseover the debuffs to see the time left and the debuff description

Sorry for my english, it´s not perfect, hope you understand exactly what i mean, otherwise let me know.

I would be very happy to get an answer if this will be possible in the final Version.

I will write some detailed Feedback once i had 20+x hours of playtime.

Take your time and work on the finetuning/content, i am pretty sure it will be a successful game. It already Looks/feels great!

That sounds like a good idea, but it actually reminds me of something.

I remember playing some really old games, like Commander Keen and Wolf 3D, and those games had "help menus" when you pressed F1, and those basically contained an in-game manual you could page through. Why don't games do that anymore?

I think that an in-game manual or a Tutorial/help menu would be very useful and could contain a lot of useful information, like for example, a list of the statuses, their icons, and what they mean.

indeed that would be also a very good solution and idea. Also for other things/facts you would like to look up easily (for sure there will be some questions about mechanics, Background stories (of Major characters/npc´s, history, etc.)

if you could do both (mouseover and ingame Manual), it would be perfect!
If for example "burning" is scaled with skills/Levels it could show you the effectively damage per round - i think it will be not an expensive programming-part, right ?

btw i like the "tutorial" so far, it´s not you explain every key but the main things - for me it is perfect - it is not all at the very first beginning, you have to spam through wink
you can starting to explore and step by step you learn... thats perfect from my point of view

I cannot stress this enough. I was pleasantly surprised when I recently bought Banished and found the in game help was structured like a wiki-pedia. A rare thing these days. Heck, Big Huge did it in Kingdoms Of Amalur and there have been a couple of other developers do it, but I notice it's usually all small companies. The bigger companies don't want to waste resources on something they feel the players can look up themselves. Sad, but true.

when is have a look to the Manual / ingame instruction of Age of Wonders 3 for example or remember civ5 cyclopedia that´s really nice to have!

From my Point of view, with more Details you will get a better understanding and if you really understand the Background, stories, chars, doings, relationships and history you identify more with the game and chars, you play with more Passion, ist not only Pixels...

of course there are much Information in the game and detailed dialogs, but just a few People can remember all the "walls of text" for the rest of the game from each npc, right ?
