I confirm sound issues as well. My game seems to randomly stop producing proper music and sound. Once a fireplace sound became really prominent while all other sounds stopped. Had to quit out of the game to get it fixed.
I am new so I haven't played enough to notice a cause..but the sound has bugged out like that many times.
