After playing 2 days I think I can do a quick summary of Beta 1.0.228 to 239: - Crafting:
if you do smash ten potatoes it takes forever to do it, because only 1 crafting in progress - the second and third are shown but only the first is done! so you have to do it one after another so 10s for each potato to smash, 10s for each smashed potato to be cooked + 2s clicking makes 10x22s = 220s = 4min! for cooked mashed potato
it has cost me more than 30min to do all possible combinations and with my found ingredients (and bought of course) after 2 hours of gameplay only for food!
and doing all the possible dough-combinations takes also lot of time water-cups don't stack so it is very uncomfortable to make dough more than one at a time, because you also have to refill the cups, ...
there are 2 types of - "cup of water" - "medium healing potion" - "minor healing potion" and only one can be used to craft items
crafting weapons is also time consuming but you don't have so much ingredients so it cost me only 5 to 10 min
crafting potions, magic items etc is also very time consuming (crushing bones is also dull)
=> pleasse let the player choose how much he wants to craft (if it makes sense, let the ingredient with lowest number be the max. choosen e.g. tomato or potato with hammer, potato with knife etc.)
Pixie Dust + sheet of paper = animations but nothing happens both ingredients stay not able to make my own scrolls ;_;
Pearl + armor = animation, same armor (no difference, no price boost etc.!) + no pearl
Chickenfoot (magic) + rope or thread = belt or amulett for Reflexes +1 (If I remember correctly Reflexes were dismissed?!)
rat tail (magic) + rope or thread = belt or amulett but no special attribut
tusk (magic) + rope or thread = belt or amulett but no special attribut
starfish (magic) + cap or thread = cap (Armor boost) or amulett but no special attribut
antler (magic) + cap = cap (Armor boost) but no special attribut
cooking pot + camp fire = mobile kitchen but not moveable I got 2 in my inventory (no icon only ? shown) but don't know how I got them because each new crafing over campfire get's the immobile, non-clickable version now
rings for crafting are not easy to get: in 40h ingame time only 2 found
- so far (I'm now level 7) no findings of -- metal scraps -- milk
- consuming honey consumes also the jar?!
- cleaning?! -- washboard can still be found -- wash tube no longer can be used or moved -- soap no use so far cleaning not working (smelly items after quest ?!)
- crafting with magic items and enhanced caps removes the old enhancement
- CRASHES while crafting crafting outside the character inside of barrels sacks or crest or wooden crate does crash the game epeatedly
- trait-bonus
it often happens in conversation zoom (too much - you mostly can't see your speaking partymember -> please don't zoom in so far to let the mainchar's and the coversation partner(s) be ssen) that you can't see the comment over character which trait was boosted (and log doesn't show please let the player do his own zomm after initial auto-zoom
more than 1 in a trait doen't work : -- Minigame charm reason or intimidate only gets 4DP instead of 3 (even if trait base is 2 or greater - tested till 4 no effect)) -- Barter, Sneaking, Leadership .. get only boosted with 1 (even if trait base is 2 or more - tested till 5 no effect)
- savegames
loading a savegame results in loosing all health-points from boosts (gear or way of warrior bonus)
max hp is counted right but your old healthstatus is gone
with every save!! in combat this leads to real quick deaths, because you have no chance to get revitalised (only enough food can help, because it only costs 1 AP to eat or drink)
- food-bonus
food-boni are not stackable: after strength boost +2 and then strength boost +1 only the second Stays => strength bonus only +1 the max should stay
food-boni cannot be combined: e.g. strength bonus +1 and then dexterity bonus +2 only get's me the dexterity bonus
- gameplay - fighting
main char: Mage (fire and air) and ranger (crafting and earth)
doing all the exploration in cyseal gets you easy to lvl 4 and more without more than the training-level and orc battle done (both companions found)
- going down the new underground is too easy - doing the skeletons north of cyseal to easy - the 2 undead dogs north of cyseal don't attack (they stay normal becaus eno day-night-change?! - the figth after x5000 cave too easy (ice spark does immobile him for 3 turns?!) - the only bigger battle where I got more than 20% down on more than 1 character was the lighthouse, sect-cave with evelynn and the burning foresst NE of cyseal (twin fireelemental)
- the sect-cave with evelyn after opening the first closed door all enemys were weak and only 10% health?! => 10 enemy, four playerchars 3 turns and done?!?!)
- burnig forest coming from south (not west!) => Fighting the forrest with level 7 chars is also no fun: I could take down 1 or 2 max of them without others nearby noticing (staying 5m behind - wtf?!) and they only responded beeing attacked by me or getting really close > 3m!!) (all characters had rain spell so the whole burning forest only was smoke and the lava got contained => no burning bonuses for the undead?!)
- the AI often get' "force end turn" after moving to a barrier they don't want to enter (sparkling water;))
PLEASE LET the ENEMY-Level adapt to your party-member-level to get the fight engaging
Fighting upt to 8 skeletons level 3 or 4 with level 5 character maxed out in gear is no fun - only massacre (armor already more than 40 on each char and weapons found dealing more than 30 to 70hp!)
- gameplay
- dragging item out of crates etc. to a character portrait often results in moving the crate etc. into the inventory - releasing it into itself destroys it with some of the content!
- x5000 sparcmaster cannot be deactivated only self-destruct and weapon deact do work (ice spark is your friend)
- after doing the x5000 esmeralda is gone?! No more weapons because the faboulous five are also gone !!
- the ghost in the basement x752 y299 after revealing his grave doesn't pop (N of cyseal)
- mortician can only be imprisoned, there was no option speaking with the sheperd not to go to the captain
- 4 statues the iced barrel can be searched
- bellegar cannot be joined - no more bellegarettes ;(
- the map secrets are shown on map only after reading them, after reloading the markers are gone and rereading the maps says only you already have read them?!
- the painter sells the same maps each time I visit him after a changelocation outside cyseal
- every character can trade with all persons but the inventory stays not the same and the amount of gold is not the same (mainly vendors and other selling peaople ) after only changein speaking teammember!! -- each teammember gets other random items = good for finding good stuff  -- after having enough money and barter you can buy with 10 to 30% of and sell for 10 to 30% on top makes a win for me with 20 to 60 % with barter 3!) => exploit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can get all down to worth only 1 gold (empty bottle) giving enough tradetime (I now have more than 200k gold and 30k an my companions);
BIg BUG Accusation of stealing while trading or juggling items from char to char -- after stealing almost everything in cyseal (but the magically locked room in the warehouse in harbour) and doing some rearrangement in cahractersheets while standing near other people often get's me caught stealing while doing conversation and trade with other?!?! that now results in immediatly combat with all in cyseal and "end of time", the first time i could outsell me with 5000gold- each time after that it results in fight all!)
-- it also happens when trading with one character when you sell him items from the trade before with the other person nearby => e,.g. king crab with the fabolous five at the table near bar, or in "end of time" with zixxzaxx and weaver ending the game !! I have a save, with which you get in battle after ending speaking to zixxzaxx (after lots of trade to get all his money;)) attitude of zicxxzaxx was 80 and weaver was 100 but beeing in conversation with zixxzaxx after the last trade it went down to 77 and after ending the weaver accuses you of theft with attitude down to 87!?)
- the smith's house in cyseal I can't break into it with lockpicking 3 and magicc unlock and lockpicks only per sheer brutal force I can open it after fighting the door for 5 minitues- oh yeah
the key you find on the sims of the fireplace (yes you get it from the outside) doesn't open the doors too
so I did it the other way down the graveyard and up the smiths's cella - what a fun it was to find all the traps ;)) only to stay in front of doors whre the key is behind - aaargh another 10 mins grining the door open
- movement and graphics
- in burning forrest x 351, y 350 the character has to move around a blocking something which can't be seen (i don't know how to insert graphics -sorry) - you see normal ground
- in end of time new room x379, y 117 you can walk through altar (burning fire on top of stairs) or x394 y 84 you can walk through the stones
- x134, y 338 you can't cross the river!!
- area around x70 348 the lighning of terrain is not correct: you see a moving highlighted square which removes all environmetal shadows
- x229 y244 graveyrad after digging if your char cannot see it but you scroll to the location you see a black rectangle and the "underside" of the map
- x 713 y159 you can walk thorugh the bed
- x 126 y 90 you can move down under the carpet
- x 311 y 78 from here you can open the crate in the wrecked ship but not cross the shallow water
- skill
skill max is at 5 and cannot be exceeded (base 4 and gear+2 is only 5!) so I did misplace my 4 skillpoints
- with temporary boost of elementalist or way of ranger/warrior you can get all the spells learned (up to your max attribute or skill ) e.g. water elementalist 1 + gear +2 and intelligence boosted with fish to 9 you can learn all spells
- talents
- Lone wolf the companions also have lone wolf as chooseable talent?! - I did not test it!! but doing it with my main char did release both companions! before I was given entry to end of time !! so they were lost on me
- All skilled up and Bigger and better in charactergeneration I can choose them but I don't get the benefits (2 skillpoints or 1 Attribut point!!)
- overall
the game makes lots of fun to get all the stories completed and explore the world!
and I love crafting to get more money
