I threw my money down early on in the Kickstarter process. A new Divinity done old school AND turn based combat? Oh yeah. Done by Larian themselves? Sold.
Then I saw the efforts you were making with the updates and their quality and knew it was going to work. Much respect by me was earned.
I resisted for a little while when you went Alpha until your Valentine's Day Update. The video convinced me to try it and so I did, thus getting me on here as well.
Ups and downs occurred over the following months, but it was great fun and I loved your commitment to feedback. Always responding to bug reports within 24 hours personally. Actually weighing out our suggestions for gameplay and making adjustments here and there based on them. Very promising indeed.
Enough so that even the game killing bug I encountered since the last big Alpha update didn't shake my faith. You assured me it would be fixed the next major update. So I took a break from the game but hung around the forums. A month passes and your site goes down, I get an update about Beta announcement and eagerly dive in.
Wow. You came out shooting this time guys. Needless to say, I am overjoyed with the current state of the game. Multiple playthroughs with some very gratifying differences in both combat strategies and story. Still needs tweaking, but I'm still seeing you staying on top of that, so I'm not worried.
So this is goodbye for now. I will keep the game installed for a little longer as I have one more full playthrough planned. Once it's done though, I will uninstall and forget about it until full release.
Thank you, Larian. Please take your time. You've got a good thing going right now and I can wait awhile longer if need be.
Just not too long. 'Kay.
