I threw my money down early on in the Kickstarter process. A new Divinity done old school AND turn based combat? Oh yeah. Done by Larian themselves? Sold.

Then I saw the efforts you were making with the updates and their quality and knew it was going to work. Much respect by me was earned.

I resisted for a little while when you went Alpha until your Valentine's Day Update. The video convinced me to try it and so I did, thus getting me on here as well.

Ups and downs occurred over the following months, but it was great fun and I loved your commitment to feedback. Always responding to bug reports within 24 hours personally. Actually weighing out our suggestions for gameplay and making adjustments here and there based on them. Very promising indeed.

Enough so that even the game killing bug I encountered since the last big Alpha update didn't shake my faith. You assured me it would be fixed the next major update. So I took a break from the game but hung around the forums. A month passes and your site goes down, I get an update about Beta announcement and eagerly dive in.

Wow. You came out shooting this time guys. Needless to say, I am overjoyed with the current state of the game. Multiple playthroughs with some very gratifying differences in both combat strategies and story. Still needs tweaking, but I'm still seeing you staying on top of that, so I'm not worried.

So this is goodbye for now. I will keep the game installed for a little longer as I have one more full playthrough planned. Once it's done though, I will uninstall and forget about it until full release.

Thank you, Larian. Please take your time. You've got a good thing going right now and I can wait awhile longer if need be.

Just not too long. 'Kay. wink

Nicely put. smile Yesterday I was playing co-op with a friend of mine and it was great fun and a memorable experience. At one point, while I was distracting an NPC with a conversation and asking what she was up to, I heard back from her, "I'm standing on his bed, disguised as a bush, and looting his night stand!" I was still chuckling about it 7 hours later when heading to bed.

Thanks to Larian for all the hard work and striking a great balance between listening to our feedback while staying true to the vision and love you have for your own game.

I hadn't even mentioned the co-op aspect of it. I am definitely looking forward to present this game to a friend once it's done. We've really missed the days of playing Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights over the internet and just having fun creating our own roleplay. I'm excited to see what comes from the editor. Would love if we were able to make persistent worlds like in NwN. So much potential...

Very well put indeed. It's amazing how this game has come along since the first alpha, and I'm really impressed with the amount of love and care you have put into it. When we played in co-op yesterday (yes, I was the bush Windemere mentioned wink ) we spent most of the time just wandering around and exploring, and we had a blast. I love how the game, while not taking itself too seriously all the time, nevertheless always takes the player seriously. That's a quality many games these days are lacking, and it really takes a game made by gamers to bring it back.

So thank you, Larian, for bushes, nightstands, loot and all the other fun things too numerous to mention!

I've been playing for a while, answering a few questions on steam forums especialy to people who have no idea what Divinity is and try to help out but i also feel i need to take a break from this alpha/beta process.

I feel i'm losing a little of the mystery and feeling of playing a new game and i realy wanted to have that feeling with D:OS.

I normaly like the entire beta process of early adopters and i have a blast testing stuff, but Divinity has a very special place in my heart and i can't realy continue to spoil the game for me till release.

You know, the first Divine Divinity has a very important place in my youth and one of my favorite games of all time. It means a lot to me, in a very very troubled part of my life it was DD one of the few things that helped me and took my mind from "real bad stuff", so it gets a special place in my history. I still remember spending hours in the game, completely hooked and exploring every inch of it and finding new interesting things.

I realy want D:OS to get back to me that feeling again of amazement, exploration, story telling, surprises, mystery and just leting my mind flow through the game, and recreate that feeling again from the first divinity.

If i keep playing the beta, i won't have the full experience at release in a super polished game. So sorry, as the OP i have to bail out for now, see ya in the full game and hopefull a lot more people can help you out ironing bugs wink

Thanks for everything larian, cya soon !

I chose not to touch the game until it's out, but I can't wait to get my hands on the full game.

I tried out the game with my s.o. and it was extremely fun.

But, after 8hrs of play, we're going to wait for the release and start to start the REAL game.

Im a little late to the party, spent a lot of time and energy on W2 and new Torment.
So atleast i will try to fill in as best as i can. And there are others who will contribute.

Besides, its the ending stretch and there isnt that much to do anymore.
You old fans take a breather.
