Here are a few items I uncovered while playing through the recent Beta release.
1.) The Adventurer's Field Guide, Volume VIII - opening sentence, "The first trick my dad thought me was how to use....I believe the word you're looking for is 'taught' instead of 'thought'.
2.) Merchant Trade sreen - I appreciate the ability to now scroll through your party members during the trade screen. Big omprovement. I believe, however, I have found an issue related to how Skillbooks are displayed. Example, main character opened trading screen with Capt. Aureus. I now scroll to my 2nd character which is Madora who happens to have the Way of the Warrior ability. If I hover the mouse over the Way of the Warrior skillbooks, it will indicate that none of the skills have been learned. If I exit the trade screen and then enter the trade screen with Madora, the skillbooks properly indicate which skills have been learned and which have not. This issue it evident with all merchants.
3.) While we're on the merchant trade screen, if Madora and Jahan can individually trade with a merchant/NPC, why present the NPC dialogue "What are you, some kind of wandering minion? You can tell your boss I'll have no dealings with a go-between. If this is true, how come Madora and Jahan can still trade. BTW I believe that any party member should be able to trade. Just modify the dialogue to reflect a "preferred" trade, but since your here, what can I do for you!
4.) Stackable Resistance/Abilities Items - After some experimenting, I found that you stack + resistane items by wearing the highest resistance item first, then the 2nd highest, etc. Note, however, that I only tried with 2 stackable items. So I had body armor with +15% Poison resistance (#1) and a ring with +10% Poison resistance (#2), together I showed +25% Poison resistance.
On the other hand, items with +1 Abilities apparently do not stack. Disappointment. Bug or intentional?
5.) Party members still walk into hazards (fire, poison ooze, oil slick) when reforming party or moving forward. This is very annoying.

Healing potions are really quite expensive, which is much more noticeable now that they drop a lot less. 4.) On the other hand, items with +1 Abilities apparently do not stack. Disappointment. Bug or intentional? Rings don't stack, but I was able to stack a +1 Loremaster Ring and +1 Loremaster Amulet, no problem.

- Some people are noting that food is both more powerful and FAR cheaper than health potions, even without "Five Star Diner".
- I'm not a fan of the first Starstone immediately teleporting you away from when you first encounter it. You are usually in the middle of something, either looking at the crime scene room of Jake's murder, or just after deciding who to treat in the clinic. I think the teleport should only trigger after leaving the crime scene and shortly after leaving Thelyron's, to let you get that dialogue out of the way then when it makes sense. The teleportation makes those conversations seem really out of place, since you're forced to have them in the Homestead or miss out. It breaks the flow you were thinking about one thing, then you get teleported somewhere else, but have to finish the first thing's thought in the middle of the homestead.
The good news is that by definition you can't have the pyramids yet, the bad news is that you can still teleport your party members somewhere else by chaining them to someone else standing at an upstairs/downstairs transition.
- I'm glad to see that the story bug has been cleared up with Roberts. Now it's stated that Esmeralda got him to leave his house, instead of staying in the lobby and the corpse having left through some back door he didn't have.
- The Pigpipes are hilarious and awesome.
- It would be nice if Teleport could be allowed to target the corpses of your party members so you can move them off of harmful surfaces like permanent magma. I did check and at least returning to the homestead does work as long as your surviving party members are close to each other.

I'm a neophyte here, but just bought in to Steam Early Access. I really like the game a great deal. Some initial feedback:
#) The combat system isn't immediately intuitive, so it's unfortunate that there is a combat encounter prior to the opening cave tutorial. While I appreciate that most will want to skip the cave once they've completed a playthrough, it would be nice to get a warning message to visit the tutorial before I have to figure out how to fight the first small mobs.
#) I think the interface is great, except when it comes to distribution of ability points. I don't ultimately have a feeling of what kinds of characters I want my chars to develop into. It's nice in RPGs to get a glimpse of skill trees to build toward an ultimate goal. While this may be looked at as dumbing down of this complex game, it also would offer casual RPGers such as myself a better guide to building a good character within the interface.
#) Dialogue is pretty funny so far. I like it.
#) There is no way to use the resurrect scroll from the beginning. Us neophytes in combat die a lot. Either don't let us get that until we are powerful enough, or add more combat in the tutorial cave to help continue to underscore principles of combat.
Thanks!

Skill selection will be added during character creation, so there should be more information available once that is in.
