I encountered several bugs/issues in V1.1.28:

----

Bug: Quest/missing NPCs

Priority: very high!

Jake was not present in Evelyn's cave, although she was talking to him when I approached her in the last room. This breaks the quest about the murder investigation.

Bug: Quest/missing items

Priority: very high!

There is no amulet in Evelyn's cave which is apparently needed for the control panel under the chruch. This breaks the quest about the church.

Bug: Mechanics/inventory

Priority: very high!

Sometimes exchanging two weapons directly in the inventory can lead to the first weapon vanished and a broken game. After that weapon comparison for the respective character doesn't work anymore and there is a beeping sound in the inventory when mouse-overing. Reloading a savegame before the exchange works, every savegame after that is broken and can lead to crashing on loading up. Although the leveling up arrow on the chracter portrait is gone in that case.

Bug: Mechanics/items

Priority: medium

Some two-handed weapons have the wrong damage. I experienced that with two-handed swords which led to three small impacts on the enemy instead of one big blow without any reason or according stats.

Bug: Mechanics/dialogue

Priority: medium/low

After some heads-up dialogues between Roderick and Scarlett the respective trait effects are not shown above their heads.

Bug: Mechanics/AI

Priority: high

Sometimes the AI of enemies is not responding/broken and the system has to force them to end their turn without doing anything after about 10 seconds. Some enemies - often mages/wizards who are a few meters away from the party - don't engage in fights (for example noticed for Evelyn in the cave until someone engages here in melee combat) but ending their turn immediately.

Hey guys, I hope this is the right place to mention it.

Could you please allow us to rebind ALL keys, or at the very least enable the right Ctrl key to force attack. As a left handed player, I find it kind of awkward having to move my right hand to the left of the keyboard every time I want to break a barrel.

  • After arresting Esmerelda, when asking citizens (like the potion seller) about Jake's murder, it shows placeholder text [in square brackets].
  • You still take a little damage from poison when poison immunity is on. It's only a little bit, but it's still a thing. I can confirm that poison immunity works properly with Elemental Affinity - you still get the AP reduction.
  • I found a neat one, and luckily I think I know the cause, too:

    In the Black Cove entrance orc fight, there was an Orc warrior, and next in the turn order was an Orc Shaman.

    The orc warrior moved past my Opportunist Cleric (wielding Clobbering Time), and that triggered an Attack of Opportunity. The Orc Warrior was knocked down (Clobbering Time), but kept continuously flopping. I'm not sure if the flopping started before or AFTER the Shaman stunned my Cleric with Blitzbolt, but the orc continued to flop about until my Cleric's turn came around. He resisted the stun, and - without any input from me - attacked the orc.

    It seems like his attack of opportunity was interrupted by the stun from the Shaman, which is probably why the glitch happened. I think the sequence of events was something like:

    - AoO triggered
    - Cleric's Chance to hit succeeded
    - Clobbering Time's chance to knockdown succeeded
    - Shaman's stun succeeded
    ...
    - Stun failed
    - the "attack" part of the Attack of Opportunity happened, inflicting damage.

I found an game breaking bug.

When you have 2 main characters and 1 companions and you managed to get each character to lvl up and not use the stats point it would cause the game to have a black screen and you can't do anything at all...

It's Repeatable as well...in different areas of the game...

To prevent this bug from happening that you need to use lvling stats before the 2 main characters would lvl up...

The game shouldn't do that when you want to save those precious skill points though...

What do you mean by causing a black screen? When you level up with unspent points the entire screen goes black? Or is the UI visible?

Did you try verifying local files for the game?


If you have a save just before this happens, please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool.
I'll also try that my next game, and see if I have a problem...

Hello lovely people at Larian!

Just reporting a couple of things

Sound in 1st 30secs of initial cut scene playing up sailor says "ahha your awake".. (or something like that -sorry!)then it makes an errrrrrr buzz sound then carries on but sound cuts out for like a second or two and then its back again

Also In the Kings Tomb I couldnt save i had the following message:
Savegame failed (copy to levelcache failed) Please report
...so I am! smile

I have only played 38mins so far cant wait to play more later!

- One of my characters has a weapon with a chance to proc 'disease' on hit. Everytime it happens it actually heals the enemy...

Madora did 122 dmg and afterwards the weapon proc was added. The enemy is back to full health (second orc in turn bar).

- Stone guardians infront of the church can bleed and gain the status 'warm'.

- If you use 'Rush' on an enemy you often end up to far away to hit em with the next strike without moving again or at the cost of one extra AP (like Stabbey already reported). Why ever that even is possible.

Used 'Rush' to close distance but the next swing cost 5 instead of 4 AP.

- The unique sword of the stone guardians can't be upgraded on a whetstone wheras B.Rex weapon can. If its intended nevermind.


- So i loaded my latest save and checked the trap room in the black cove again and like i already said there is no crate. [Linked Image]

There is debris which i thought is just environmental decor but its actually a destroyed crate. The button is infact under it, if you zoom close enough you can see it, but you can't interact with it. [Linked Image]

I loaded a prior save game, i made when i first entered the area, and went straight for the trap room skipping the orc/skeleton brawl and the source abomination. And to my suprise the crate is there, intact.
So there are two problems you can't interact with the switch when the crate is destroyed and why was it already destroyed when i entered the room. Then i remembered that the source abomination did some weird water attack in a random direction and i thought the heck was he aiming for and tried to reproduce it. And it looks like this attack could reach and destroy the crate but its just a speculation. [Linked Image]

Ahh, so this is a bug - glad you've reported it as well.

Bug: Mechanics

Priority - Medium

The 'waterspout' attack [crabs, large source spider, source abomination in black cove] is currently broken. The targeting plane is miles in the air, and it never does any damage. Comes with added graphical glitches!

This is probably related to issues with cone spells / planes as well.

Your crate problem looks like an issue that has plagued alpha / beta, which is quick-saves not restoring world objects correctly. I've not come across it this play through, thought it'd been squished. In my play through, the crate was alive.

Hey Raze,

Yes, i think i did...

I think i have the same game before that bug happen...

It like the bugs starts when your 2 main characters are at lvl 5, your companion lvls up to 6 but you don't use the stats points when you lvl up and then when your main characters lvl up 6, it cause the the screen to turn black but the UI is visible and music is running but can't exit the game or anything smirk

Oh yeah the analysis tool for Divinity Original Sin, just crashed when trying to get data...Is there another way to send the data to you?

I'm using Windows 8.1...

It turns out that i pointed the analysis tool at the wrong directory and that caused the crash. Already pointed and set it to the right directory sent the report info..as well...

Loadrunner - are you sure that the disease is restoring the enemy to full health? Disease actually lowers the maximum health of the enemy, so maybe that's what you're seeing.

In the Evelyn fight, she bugged out after I summoned a Fire Elemental behind her, and an enemy mage Fortified her. She just kept moving back and forth randomly and did nothing. I think it was the Fire Elemental, because she started behaving normally after the Fire Elemental expired.

Evelyn's AI is bugged anyway. If not directly attacked with a melee fighter she just ends her turn doing nothing every time. That happened both times I fought her in the current build (reloaded the whole cave in order to find out where Jake is)...

@Loadrunner
Maybe your enemies are healed by disease? Fire elementals are healed by fire attacks and ice creatures are healed by water effects. Maybe orcs are healed by disease attacks (for whatever weird reason)? :P

Bugs:

  • The game will happily walk your party through magma when you tell them to go to a location. Time to reload...
  • The Charred-Bone-Idol did nothing in the Burning Twins boss fight. I killed all the minions, nothing, I killed the boss, nothing, I attacked it (in turn-based), nothing.
  • Does the Ice Shard no longer inflict chilled? I used it on Madora because she was on fire, and it only did damage, it didn't make her Warm.
  • I encountered a pathing error in the burning area, just south of the Starstone.

Chance is about 50 percent to chilling (if i don't mistake)

Actually, the party runs through each and every dangerous surface or area effect, magma just one of them. The pathfinding is just not programmed (yet?) to automatically avoid these areas. This should be fixed/addressed ASAP!

This one has been reported, but I just came across it myself:

In Black Cove (have not seen this until entering Black Cove) Scarlett randomly emits a flashing green aura for a few seconds. Bug has not killed her or crashed the game for me, just happens randomly.

The next two are rather interesting, sent Larian game files for these two as well:

1) During the level 7 Orc fight outside Black Cove game seemed to crash during the 5th or 6th combat turn every time. However, this happened when engaging enemies standing next to the big Orc with the large crossbow.

If I sat there and ended my combat turns and let the orcs separate and come to me, I was able to finish the fight without a crash.

2) When using Flare on the poison clouds on the wooden ramp past the pirate office in Black Cove, the poison cloud did it's thing and turned into a black cloud, however large flare like effects started flashing around the clouds (looked like flickering fireballs, about 6 or 7 of them) then the games crashed. Happened repeatedly.

I was exploring by the church and had a run in with a crazy graveyard guy and with exploding skeletons and when you managed to kill the exploding skeletons and then the crazy graveyard guy the experience points did not register properly upon the kills or anything it just took one of the exploding skeleton as experience points for the entire encounter.

Also I found a weird odd bug that involves lava and water. In real life when water and lava combines together it would form rock or stone. But When you mix those two together in the game it just creates more lava and you get burnt alive...

That all the bugs that I can find so far in my session...I will continue to find more in my next session...

Have fun guys finding these odd ball bugs out XD!!

That's caused by the game thinking she has two pieces of equipment on at the same time. Remove her gear from the paper doll (start with the weapon), and you should see that two things were on the same spot.

Tried several times to put the barrel on the trap with poison in the basement tavern, if at this moment to activate the second trap explosion animation and sound are played over and over again.

  • "How to speak Troll: Zombie Edition". I can open my inventory in dialogue, but I can't open a book when dialogue is open. Am I supposed to memorize the book?
  • An enemy used Infectious Disease, which spread to my entire party, which is okay but it ALSO spread to the entire enemy party as well. Is that by design? If so that seems to make Infectious disease less attractive a spell for me to use as well.
  • I used Doctor on Madora to try and cure her of Infectious disease. It did not work.
  • Jahan died while under the effects of Infectious disease. When I resurrected him, he was walking around with 0 HP. Healing did work, and his maximum HP was correct, though.
  • Braccus痴 axe still has intimidate +1
  • (x:489, y:251) There's a Wooden Crate in corner with a 堵ears symbol instead of 田ontainer symbol. I don稚 know if that痴 intentional, I can稚 see anything remarkable about the crate, even when moving it.
  • Visiting Diedrik at his court after defeating Braccus dumps you into combat with no dialogue like you get if you go there first.
  • Court Elementalist cast Burning Blaze, but nothing happened, and I know that痴 a Flare-type spell.

Again a pathfinding problem:

Companions who died because they walked into magma can't be resurrected. Each time they come to life in the magma again which causes a sudden death without any chance of surviving.
