Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Beta 4 Players?

I've looked around a few places and when I bought this I had saw most places, including the website said it was up to 4 players. Some others said that you'd be able to take over followers with the other 2 players. However, I tried this last night and it just said the game was full. Was this cancelled, just not implemented yet, or some kind of mis-information?

I really hope this isn't some kind of mis-information, since the larian site itself says up to 4 players, this is where I saw it and assumed that was correct at first. Anyone have a more solid answer on this? Thanks.

Mods can support 4 players, Larian has tried that and said it was fun. But the base game does not support 4 players for story reasons.

That's really unfortunate... Is there some specific reason they can't let players control the followers? The dialogue or something?

Indeed. 4 players co-op would mean that two players can't engage in dialogue.

But if that's no problem for you mods will soon deliver on your request, I'm quite sure.

Sure hope so. Might take a look at it myself when it comes out.

I think it's 2 people co-op for MAIN STORY Campaign, but can be up to 4 for the custom ones?
