i am going to have to completly disagree with you on your number 1 choice. army of darkness happens to be one of my all-time favorite films. bruce campbell is the king of one liners and "reverse acting". many of the special effects (especially in the scenes with the mini-ashs) were achieved with bruce filming the scene backwards so they could add in things and have it look right. i think it is one of the top b horror movies ever. you have to remember, it's a b movie. it's supposed to be cheesy, thats what makes it so great. same for mad max. they're not as great as the evil dead/army of darkness series, but have you seen "beyond thunderdome"? if anything, it gets props for tina turners hair.
so i disagree on army of darkness and mad max. but you can add on shallow hal (and i love jack black, titanic, and armageddon.
