As a regular user of telekinesis in real life, I can't say how exited I am to see a game that actually includes this feature. And not only that, it includes it really well. The animation quality is really good aswell. So much more realistic compared to the throwing animation wich is already brilliant.
However there is one thing I really don't like about it. The ammount of damage you can do with it is just nowhere near the ammount of damage I can do with it myself in real life. The best I
accomplished was 315 damage for 2AP. Where is the Option to throw whole buildings, or enemys?
That being said Telekinesis is great, its just much to strong right now. 315 damage for 2AP on range is just ridiculus (I did this by sticking a lot of heavy objects into a dead sheep).
But I really like the idea of dealing damage with telekinesis, here are some ideas of mine how it could be balanced. The adventuring uses are all working imo so I won't give suggestion for them.
Some of my complaints also apply to regular throwing but I haven't really experimented with that yet.
The biggest issue I have right now is the power of a telekinetic assault. Being abled to deal as much damage as you can carry weight is just insane.
Another problem is, that the damage doesn't scale with any stat. This isn't true for regular throwing, since your lifting-capabilities scale with strength. I think a good solution would be to scale the power of your telekinetic throw with either the telekinesis level or your charackter level.
Another Idea I had for this issue was to scale the AP cost of a throw with the weight of the object. Higher telekinesis levels could simply lower this AP cost. Furthermore there needs to be an upper limit for the weight that can be thrown, otherwise you could simply defeat every boss by just creating a massive object befor the fight and throw it at him. The same issue also appears with the "teleport" skill. Again a simple upper limit would be enough to solve the issue.
I really like the ability to create your own weapons by sticking heavy objects into a crate, chest or sheep and would miss it if it's gone. I really hope that this issue can be solved without removing that feature from the game.
I will do some further testing on the utility of regular throws and teleport as a damage source and post the results in this thread or another thread when I'm finished with it.
