Yes, but you cant really "touch it" without the use of the Alt key.

That effect Source beast (the first one) used. That was just speed i guess. I havent tried using that much but yesterday i warmed up Madora for the fight against pirates and she looked pretty much like that when moving.
The Source abomination had that effect when standing in place but dodging or attacking, and that just looked like some kind of Matrix kind of ability - (when they fight and their hands get all multiplied)
... I thought its some kind of Source - shifting - avoidance kind of ability.
(its Ai is pretty weak too, surfaces like fire completely confuse it and it just stands there taking a lot of damage, for several turns, then moves once... but it already too late)
