Hiver I said nothing to insult you. I simply said you stumbled across the apples conferring poison resistance. If that is an insult I apologize. "Dumb luck" does not mean you are dumb, if you took it as such. It merely implies that you stumbled across it without much forethough as your past posts have seemed to imply. EDIT: See Gyson's post below, he describes "dumb luck" much, much more eloquently than I did, and gave a far more accurate meaning.
I've also gone through your posts and perhaps I'm completely missing something, but I fail to see you mention exactly when you've used the apples for the first time. This is why I asked you if you were trying to restore HP in the middle of a fight with them. Otherwise I would assume you've been using them pre-fight the entire time to confer a benefit. I may be being obtuse here, but if I'm mistaken please quote your post where you clearly explain you were using apples in the middle of a battle to restore HP, and it was only at that point you realized they were giving you poison resistance.
Additionally, there was nothing in my post detailing specifically how a player should be introduced into new concepts in a tutorial. I only mentioned in a very broad sense how it should be done. You made an ad absurdum argument to defend your position on pacing, describing how a player would be introduced to battle one skeleton at a time. I never made such an argument.
You also appear to be looking at the game simply in the context of this beta. How big will the game be and what is the level cap? If the level cap is only 15 or so, then yes the fights do need to ramp up rather quickly. If the level cap is 30 or higher, then the game would benefit from gradual pacing to hold a player's interest for the duration of the game. Otherwise a player would have experienced nearly everything the game has to offer in the first city/low level fights (and by this I mean by the time they are level 6 or so).
Lastly, you have been the person to begin an ad hominem attack on me by describing me as a "screaming spoiled brat," and that the game has been "intentionally gimped for players like me," implying clearly I'm of nominal intelligence. Nothing in my post was intended to be an insult. Your post is clearly meant to be an attack on me personally. I'm all for open discourse; personal attacks have no place here.
