*pssst* Most players spend about two seconds to a minuet or so just setting their audio/graphics and game options. Then they click New Game or Load Game. If they click new game I highly doubt they sit there n look at the buttons confused. They simply click the mode they want to play in and go. Most won't see the buttons again for quite awhile. Since they will be clicking Load Game.
Tell the truth.. you press the Singleplayer button, don't you.
Don't forget that a friend can right click you on steam and hit join game then come troll you, sometimes intentionally, sometimes accidentally where they end up with your character. :P
I always choose multiplayer when I start a new game, or after loading turn the gem to blue just in case a friend wants to join, but some people prefer to play alone and absolutely abhor multiplayer or coop of any kind. So that singleplayer option would benefit them.
