This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup; playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing.

If that fixes the problem (a new game can save/load), then copy your existing saves from the renamed folder to the newly created one. Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames' folder.


I looked for the folder to the path you specified and it's not there. It's instead in the (C://Larian Studios/Divinty Original Sin.) So I tried what you said and it didn't work. Rebooting the game did not create a new folder in either of those places. So then I just deleted the Divinty Original Sin subfolder entirely and booted the game up. It still did the same thing. I checked the Larian folder and the game didn't make a new Divinity subfolder at all yet it still let me play it. So unless it's saving things somewhere else, I'm at a loss. I think I'm just going to uninstall and reinstall the game.
