I don't wanna go on a touchy topic but without a D/N cycle, creating vampires and werewolves might lack sense...
Well one idea was that there could be strictly superficial day/night cycles.....the sun would behave accordingly but there would not be any different behavior/spawns/etc. of the NPCs and monsters. I think modders can implement this if Larian don't. But beyond that there will still be night in the game as my understanding is that every region/area is stuck in its own time of day/night.
