No luck on that front - apparently they sent Steam early access keys to some stores for folks who purchased physical copies elsewhere - so if you are in that boat you can ask your supplier. I'm still waiting to hear back from mine but the way it is going I will have the physical copy before this gets resolved.
I'm a little sad but not too annoyed or anything - just adding the info for folks who may be affected.
