Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Beta Savegame compatibility from now to launch

Hey guys, just took the plunge (couldn't resist the 20% off Steam summer sale!:). 10 days to launch, so I have to ask: will the current beta version's savegames be compatible from now through to June 30 & beyond? I really don't want to get into the game big time (which I know I will), only to have to start again in 10 days. Much thanks in advance.

There should not be any more large updates before launch, so saves should be safe until then. However, the release will not maintain save compatibility with current beta saves (after release any updates will).

Cheers Raze...tough call then. I guess I might actually do some beta testing & start again in 10 days, like most folks. Maybe I can get a bug named after me in-game (xenomorph?) if it's a really good one?

That and get used to some of the mechanics and then you can make a better suited party the second time round.
