I never received my forum badge but I did kickstart D:OS at the 80 dollar tier. I'm a little mad that unless I'm mistaken the collectors edition on steam has more rewards than the version I kickstarted for less money. It would have been really nice to get the collectors edition.

Has Larian commented on these details?

I'm happy with how the game itself has turned out but I hate how kickstarters have been cast aside in favor of more money.

No one has received their forum badge (since you registered today, I'm not sure how you were expecting to get it without a forum account).

According to the Kickstarter page, the $80 tier is:


The collector's edition does have some things not listed in the sidebar description:
- The golden grail
- Art pack
- copy of Divine Divinity
- copy of Beyond Divinity

This does not necessarily mean that the sidebar version won't also get the golden grail and art book. I don't know either way.

However the collector's edition does NOT include Dragon Commander ($40 value), which was in your package.

The forum has not been updated yet to support badges.

I didn't register because I was waiting for the badge to register but the game is a weekish away from launch now.

Dragon Commander was nice you're right, but I really just wanted Divinity OS things... I'd swap DC for DD & BD any day just because of preference. We may indeed get the collectors stuff still. I suppose I just have to be patient. The GG wasn't an option at the time of the kickstart though. Here's to hoping for the best at launch.

We also have to remember that Kickstarter is NOT a pre-ordering page, so it has no sense to compare the tiers with the actual product prices.

You will receive what is written in the tier description and in case of 80$ tier the CE is not in there.

Also, why is it bad that Larian is seeking more revenue through the Steam sale? The point of the sale as well as the Kickstarter is to financially support the development (aka developers) and release of the game, not to give backers an early discount (that's just a bonus).

also, they need to do this..being not on sale during steam sales is..well..you basically don't get bought..and this way they get bought at a small discount (lot of people buying duopacks and splitting them anyway-> same price as it is now with discount) BUT are on the top sellers list ERGO lot of views from the 6 million people online yesterday
