I don't understand why everybody is so mad at 4th edition. It is a neat and easy to play system while still allowing all of the freedom of 3.5 if you have a decent DM and gaming group. I personally prefer it to the previous versions, which is probably why I'm not that excited about D&D next...


What you call "ease of play" I call bumbing down for the mainstream crowd. I just prefer very rigid class/race rules and restrictions. Just gives the world more life and makes more sense IMO when you just can't do everything and every character can be a demi-god. To each their own though, I understand many like it. Just call me 'old school' I guess.

On Topic: I got the Beta on a STEAM sale. Just messing around now and loving it.

I do find I mess a lot of dialog as it's rolling off the side without me seeing it. Took me forever to figure out how to turn off that dang CHAT feature. Why the heck would I want to chat with myself?
