I once saw this question on the old board but I haven't found a good answer on it on the new forum. What exactly does frost do and what's then the difference with freeze?

frost is equipped on weapons, and freeze is an spell which can be resited.
frost cant be resisted and so frost is way overpowered.

But the effects are the same? And does a level 2 frost weapon has the same effect as a level 2 freeze spell (next to the the fact that it can't be resisted)?

Well I just found a Frost (2) sword with max damage of 80. Not enormous but I'm curious to see it's effect. I have put one skillpoint in freeze but it bounces of my enemies like a peanut on a rock so I hope frost will help me out a bit. It will be hard however to put my trusted claymore aside (average damage of 150 per hit).

believe me, that sword is good enough to complete the game (the one with frost)
you may have to hit the enemy more often, but since he cant do anything you'll win more easily <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

If you like the game to be a bit of a challenge, loose the frost weapon or only use it when there are no other options avalaible

Well finishing the game as level 42 mage was already quite challenging. It just feels sooooo good to hack and slash through those Verdistis sewers like a hot knife goes through butter. Or to cut through a pesky group of assasins with the easy you would cut the grass in your garden.

To be honnest, I just tested the frost weapon and it is indeed quite handy but with my trusted claymore I get the same result in half the time so for the moment I just keep the frost-weapon for unforeseen heavy resistance (Muriel for example).

I don't like people going <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" /> in the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> related boards..

well that's over it, but please try to stay on topic
