The Henchmen Editor is cool and I'm having fun with it I haven't played the beta at all but this looks pretty straight forward, hard to see how you could go wrong. One thing though, does anyone know the level cap in the game so I can choose an appropriate level for my minion henchman? Edit - the file says the henchman must be between level 1-20. Is the level cap higher than 20?

Cheers Raze I assume we'll only be able to hire henchmen from within a small range of our characters' level, so what do I want to make - an early-game henchman, mid-game henchman or end-game henchman, hmm...

It's easy to find the max level points you can up in any area for the henchman by trying 99....at which point you'll get an error telling you what the range you have to work with is. I wish they had more hairstyle options but this'll work.

I'd like to make a healing/support henchman - are any of the schools of magic particularly healing or buff/debuff focussed?

Most schools tend to have a mix of things.
Earth has a lot of buffs. Water has the main healing spells, a health self-buff and some utility skills. Witchcraft has buffs and debuffs (but more debuffs).

Heh, I was looking around for this too. I only get the kickstarter emails, I haven't received anything from Larian personally, despite being @ the Divinity Fan tier of the KS. I wonder what the reason is that they forget me lol.

Does anyone know if 'Lucky Charm' is cumulative for the whole party or based on the character with the highest value? Or something else...

Another question: Does anyone know what the purpose of the henchmen short and long descriptions are? How they appear in game and what their function is?
It's a bit hard to write them without knowing why I am writing them.

Yeah, I suppose. But why would one choose LVL20 in the editor. I assume one wants his/hers as soon as possible.

A higher level would give you more customization options. I don't know why anyone would want to leave them quite that late in the game, though, unless they had a really specific build in mind.

The description of henchman tier at kickstarter is
[it]Design A Henchman ============================= We will gather names, stats and looks, and put them in one big pool of Kickstarter-created henchmen. Every player will be able to hire these henchmen via representatives of the inter-dimensional mercenaries guild. Depending on your personal preferences (do you need a healer, a priest, a ranger, a rogue...) the agent will make a recommendation and you will then be able to hire them.[/it]
Am I right to assume they will be included in every game - for every buyer - in a data file? That sounds pretty awesome. What kind of things can you customize? Can you alter appearances with the excel file? (Also, my 300th post on this forum, yay)
