I don't see why anyone needs to provide a reason why when it's pretty self-explanatory.
We want the characters to move faster. It's not a difficult concept. Not everyone cares about the stuff you listed. I certainly don't.
Well, then let's assume every person who has purchased this game but hasn't requested to run faster prefers the speed the way it is now. That seems like a pretty safe bet, considering the speed used to be faster but feedback led to it being reduced. Which would make you the vocal minority, and one that isn't giving a reason beyond
