So, lets say one of my character is a pile of ash and I'm out of resurrection scrolls. What do I do? Just standing there isn't going to make one appear.

I can't put the ashes in my inventory and take them with me. How long will the ashes stay there? Can I go buy a scroll (though I have no idea from who) and come back? Kind of not sure what I need to do here.

(Note, I would have had enough scrolls if I hadn't used one while she while her ashes were still in a flaming area ... which made her just burst into flames and die again. Crazy.)

you can go to town, get a scroll and come back to ressurect.

if the PC burnt in lava the resurrect scroll will bring them to life but they will instantly die because they are still on lava

you can teleport the ashes to another spot (i haven't tried this, but others are adamant you can do this)

If you leave anything on the ground anywhere it will be there forever. e.g. you wanna steal a house and leave stuff lying around, go for it. same as dead bodies, they'll just stay there.

I hope someone adds a mod to allow you to drag bodies... this would be awesome for stealth killing and for dragging pc dead bodies out of danger.

Well I used a rain scroll and got rid of the fire, which for some reason looked like it was never going to go out on it's own. But my partners ashes are still there.

Odd I can't carry a body, or even some ashes, to take them somewhere to resurrect.

And ... not that I'm complaining, but when my character was alive again (before burning to death again) I noted that they were not standing there naked. How do they go from ashes to fully armed and dressed? Shouldn't they lose everything if they are burnt to ashe? Does resurrection bring back all your items and clothes also?

You can teleport the ashes off the surface, either from Jahan or a scroll. Corpses also move when you do any kind of map transition, including going upstairs/downstairs.

Also, save often, because if you do run out of Rez scrolls for good, the only recourse is to buy more, and if you can't afford them...

I guess I have no idea what you are talking about when you say I can teleport something. So far all I've played is a Ranger and Cleric, so never had anyone with a teleport ability.

I do wish I could find a good source of what the spells are in this game, what they do, and how you get them.

I'm sure it wont be long before the game releases and someone creates a wiki page with all spells listed, level required and what they do.

For now, there are vendors in town and you can always go peruse the books on sale to begin creating your own lists of spells available:

Scoundrel/Witchcraft 2nd floor of the Inn
Marksman/Aerotheurge/Hydrosophist in the marketplace
Man-at-Arms Captain's northeast of town.
Pyrokinetic/Geomancer 2nd floor of the Captain's

Just read the skillbooks they have for sale and build up a mental collection of spells.

You don't need the Teleportation spell; the telporter pyramids or travelling to the End of Time will work. Stairs will no longer work (it just breaks the link to the character).

You should not leave items directly on the ground in populated areas. Some NPC AI can pick up items (ie enemy can loot dropped potions and use them). Containers are safe to stash stuff in.
