Steam has it at 20% off right now for only about 12 more hours. But that collectors edition! The cloth map! a nice manual. I mean look at my avatar, its the avatar. I love maps and manuals etc. But $111 after tax I just don't know. I would really be paying what comes to $80 for a map, manual and an extra cd key I dont need.

For $30 I can have it right now.

Raze, I call upon you right now. For 10 years I have seen your posts, the most helpful poster I have seen anywhere on the internet.

I leave this decision to you, my fellow Larian fan.

Either I spend $30 now or spend $111 after tax and shipping, and wait.

I paid $95 with tax and shipping for my collectors edition and amazon estimate delivery for friday
To be honest $111 would be over my limit for it, the collectors is real nice and you get two copies of the game, make it less expensive than it first looks.

So to be completely honest, I can not recommend on of the other for your case, they are both good deals. Well, at least if you have use for the second copy.

It comes down to how much you want the physical version. Watch the unboxing video in the most recent kickstarter update, and see if that convinces you one way or the other.

Yeah I saw that video, it got my juices flowing. If I order tomorrow morning 9am pacific directly from Larian how long will I have to wait to get it? A week?

Amazon.co.uk has 7 copies of the CE available, but from an affiliate (so probably not free shipping).

Shipping to the US would probably be a week or two. Dragon Commander took 2 weeks to get to Canada, though D:OS may be faster, since they are shipping in bulk.

I paid about 60$ for collector edition(but it was in Polish online game shop)and need to wait until 18 july.

But yes CE is worth every dollar you spend on it as you get 2 copies of the game, cloth map and other goodies.

Ask yourself this, will you look back in a few months or 5 years time and wish you had bought the collector's edition?

I've decided to get the collectors edition. Not just because I love my classic "Ultima" like goodies. Its also because I love these guys and want to support them.

I *think* only the CE's that were purchased via Kickstarter are getting a digital key in advance (SEA backers as well, obviously). But don't quote me on that.

That was my impression as well. Maybe Raze can confirm.

AFAIK the keys are in the box.
