I was wondering.. are legendaries the best items available in the game? (orange ones)

Because.. well, except of the weapons most of legendaries I've found was a bit dissapointing (IMO ofc.).

Don't get me wrong - the average bonus of 5-6 attributes with potential "ubreakable" is nice but.. frankly, I was hoping for something more unique, perhaps some trait like Talents/Perks give.

Good to know BTW - on what stage of beta it was? (do you remember the build?)

Found a legendary belt that gives 'fortify' and +str and stuff for my melee yesterday. So should be build 135 or something for me.

random drop. I stand at big chest and reloaded to roll loot as far as I remember.

So I wasn't lucky enough I guess. Those I've found were just like rare items with 1 or 2 more attributes on them. Although that was at least 3 builds ago from now, things may have changed..

170 hours into the beta so far and I've never found anything that gives fortify or any kind of spell. Must be very rare. Found plenty of orange items with multiple stats though. Best I found was a ring with like +1 in almost every attribute, str, int, etc. I think it was worth like 7000 gold.

Heh, perhaps there are 2 different tiers of legendaries with one being more "legendary" then the other one :P

my guess would be that the random affix pool on legendary has certain low chance affixes where others have higher roll chance like attribute points.

i think you just did not look hard enough!

There are unique weapons in the game which are hand-made. Legendaries are randomly generated, and so have the potential to be underwhelming. They can choose their affixes from the pool specifically for Legendary Items though, which contain things not found in the other tiers.
