For ph33rtehgd: It may be that your friend has not yet created his Larian Vault account with the Kickstarter code? It is in the Larian Vault where you will receive all the codes necessary to play when it is released.
MrAvers: My friend created his account and he has the Kickstarter code. Thinking on it more, I was trying to use that code last night when I was prompted for it during profile creation. Maybe the beta, while prompting for the code, does not actually have the capability of understanding it? I'm not sure. I hadn't played for much of the beta and my friend started playing way back in January and can't remember if he used his code or not at that time. Maybe the code he has will work for both of us on launch today.
