I'm seeing some DLC already on Steam. Is this just the stuff Kickstarter backers already got? Or do I need to wait for a Steam sale to get DLC for a game that isn't quite even out yet? :P
Played the beta a little, loved it, and am really looking forward to soon playing the finished product!

Folks, the Source Hunter DLC pack is just a means of getting some of the Digital Collector's Edition benefits for people who already owned the game on Steam (i.e. Steam Early Access backers). Steam doesn't allow people to purchase the same game for their own account twice, so this DLC pack was the only way for SEA backers to "upgrade" to the Digital Collector's Edition (which only became available at a later date).
It was something we requested and Larian was kind enough to oblige us. It's not them trying to push DLC on people on day one.

I think it contains some extra compared to just Kickstarter stuff. First of all the bonuses you get from Kickstarter depended on your pledge amount, so if you didn't pledge $50 or more, you didn't get all the goodies (sound track, concept art etc.). Second it contains the bonus item you get by registering Divinity Anthology.
It doesn't contain any additional missions or stuff like that. Just two in-game items that afaik are just funny, not useful.

Just came back to the forum as I saw the DLC idiocy. And no word from official side about the DLC. Well, there is enough controversy about DLCs to give a bitter taste esp. as Larian doesn't even clarify things here. Maybe to generate more money by letting people buy the DLC even if they don't need it? As far as I see Steam can't tell that you already have the content of the DLC by backer code. Yeah, I have a pretty strong opinion about DLCs as most GOG users and botching the release with preferring steam after all is also a bad move. There is now quite a list of things that disturbed me regarding Larian an the D:OS KS ...

I only bought the DLC because I felt the game/devs/community deserved it.
Still not showing up, but it will some day I suppose...
I really just want that editor like yesterday, hope Steam and Larian can get that going asap...

WintermuteX, the DLC is just a way for owners of the base game to upgrade to the Digital Collector's Edition content (minus the extra games) at a cheaper cost. In other words, the developers are doing the community a favor (and at the request of the community).
