Greetings! I'm about an hour in (multiplayer) and cannot save at all without the game crashing to desktop. I've tried both quicksaves and normal saves. I've also verified the Steam cache. Error details:



I don't imagine anyone has encountered this yet and figured it out?

Where did you find the crash information? I keep crashing after saving/autosaving/quicksaving.

I posted in another thread but yours sounds more like my problem. I'll copy it to here:

I crash when saving a lot. Usually during the 'waiting to sync' stage.

I'm on PC (Windows 7, windowed mode), I've downloaded the release patches and Verified files.

I crash almost every time I quick save, sometimes when I manually save, sometimes when I autosave and sometimes when I load. Also, when I manually save, my minimap + map go black (with the exception of the yellow and green dots and so on). Loading and saving times are frustratingly long in the first place.

I can load the save after crashing, most of the time. One exception was when autosaving due to changing zones. The last time I crashed was when using the waypoint teleport for the first time.

I'm having the same issues...very frustrating and no replies on a possible fix

From what I understand you're having Dialog box error issue on Mac, right? Not crash? Can you please clarify.

I'm on a Windows 7 PC. Was having save issue during BETA as well but thought they would be fixed with official release. Auto save crashes along with F5 quick save and everytime I go to create a new save game...

From the other thread. I really hope this fixes the problem I'm getting (not really sure what you meant by message box) as I've never manually overwritten a game, although I'm assuming Quick and Auto saves count as overwrites.

I still lose the map (goes black) when I manually make a new save, though.

I have to restart a new game each time. Nothing is saving. New profile and new characters each time...

Ok, guys just to keep it sorted let me reiterate

Mac Save issue - NO crashes, just dialog box - fix incoming tomorrow
Windows Save issue - YES crashes, no dialog box - will pass to QA

Can you collect Windows system information profile (MSInfo) and send it to supportdos@larian.com. Also ensure you have latest version, go to your Local folder of the game (using Steam) and collect all .dmp files there from today. Those files can be attached to letter. In the letter make remark like "Attn: Forums(Save crash) For Platon"

Only having both of these materials we can make assumptions about your issue.

Thanks for all the replies. Was out for the last few hours. I'll get around to sending the information soon.

This is ruining my play through .

I save often to try different things and it takeshi about 5-7 mins to get everything going again after it crashes. Very lame.
