Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - General Games loading each time after saving

Why does this game load each time after saving? Loading takes 2+ minutes on my machine and even quick and autosaves take very long because game loads (what does it load???) each time after them too.

Is it intended? Why does it work so? Can I somehow turn off this loading after save? It's very annoying.

I'm having exactly the same problem. And it won't load after that as well. Just an eternal loading screen.

It would be great just to be able to press F5 and continue on without taking a coffee break. Especially given that it currently crashes my game

I don't seem to have this issue. Quicksave takes 1 or 2 seconds and doesn't load anything.

Quicksaving crashes my game as well.

I don't have the problem of quicksaves quickloading but anytime I do load a savegame it takes almost a full four minutes. I feel for you.

Have you tried verifying local files?

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?


Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool.

The report file generated by the support tool is >50MB, hotmail gmail etc. have a cap of 25MB for attachments. Any other way I can get it to you? I have already sent the crash dump files, msinfo etc under the subject 'Attn: Forums(Save crash) For Platon‏' under advice from a different thread.

The report.zip file also includes your saves, so any not relevant to the problem can be deleted to reduce the file size. Presumably it would be useful to include a few saves that crashed or hang (if applicable) as well as a couple working saves.
