I backed on Kickstarter early for just the digital game, and I hated myself for forgetting to go back and upgrade my pledge to a physical copy. When they announced the collectors edition would be available, I ordered it from Larian Vault the day it was available.

I was thinking of getting my Kickstarter copy on GOG since the CE comes with two Steam keys. My physical CE hasn't arrived yet, and I read in another post that the physical CE won't ship until later this week. If that's true, it might be a while before I get it. They said in the comments of today's Kickstarter update that you can convert a Steam key to a GOG key. Does this apply to just Kickstarter keys or will it work on the Steam keys in the physical Collectors Edition? If it will work on the physical CE keys, I can go ahead and keep my Kickstarter copy on Steam and convert one of the CE keys to GOG and not have to wait for my physical copy to arrive.

Then I remembered that the collectors edition comes with the source hunter DLC, so it seems that would be the key I want to activate on Steam. Unless the source hunter DLC is just the same stuff you get from entering the Kickstarter code when creating your game profile. On my Larian Vault KS Backer page, it only lists the KS Potion and the Epic Trunks, but the description on Steam for the source hunter DLC says it includes a Golden Grail, the Epic Trunks, Design Documents, Art Pack and Soundtrack.

Then that brings up another question. If you can convert any Steam key to a GOG key, and I convert one of the Collectors Edition keys to GOG, will the GOG version include the source hunter DLC content that the Steam CE has? If it does, then I would like to redeem one CE key on Steam, one on GOG, and then revoke my Kickstarter key from my Steam account so it can be the one I give to a friend. It would also be nice if I could redeem the copies of Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity that come with the CE on GOG too.

CEs order from the Vault started being sent out last Monday; the kickstarter CEs should have all been sent by today.

It is just for the kickstarter keys that you can revoke the alpha/beta key and get either a GOG key or a new Steam key.

Are there two versions of the key? I mean, if I already have the game in my library, why do I need to revoke it?

Care to provide a link to confirm this? I received an email from Larian last Friday stating:

"Dear backer,We got your message to receive a non-Steam DVD INSTEAD of a DVD
which requires you to use Steam to play the game. Please be aware that
we'll only print these DVD's once the game has gone live meaning that
we'll only be able to send these DVD's a few weeks after release. That
doesn't mean that you won't be able to play the game on release, as all
backers with physical goods in their tiers will receive a digital download
code on the digital platform of their choice (either Steam or GOG)."

If you gave away a kickstarter alpha/beta key (because you wanted to wait for release), then to get a digital copy of the game for yourself, you need to revoke the key you gave away.

Originally (and until very recently) the plan was to revoke all the free alpha/beta keys and re-issue keys for wherever kickstarter backers set. I guess as Larian was preparing for that, they determined that since most people want the Steam version, it would be easier to have the keys default to Steam and revoke as required than to revoke everything and re-issue a majority of Steam keys.

Yes, there is a delay for those who wish to wait for the second production run of the DVD, to include the day one patch. That wasn't the case here, so I didn't mention that exception. Sorry for any confusion.

I preordered the CE at Amazon (German) at a time, when the dice bag was still included.
When the bag was cancelled, Amazon sent me an email with an Steam Early Access key as an excuse.
The email said, that this key (or the game) will be erased from my library with the release.

The game is still in my Steam library, and i have no idea what to do with my regular key from the Collectors Edition.
Am i missing something?

As said already a couple of times in this thread (including the post from Raze right above your reply), the original plan was to revoke all Early Access keys and replace them with new keys for the full game.

However, Larian recently decided to reverse this decision, and simply "upgrade" the Early Access keys to full keys.

This simply means you now have 2 keys for the game, so you can share your other key with a friend for example.
