Your sure about that? I can understand not having gog galaxy support on release, but still: Does the game not support direct IP or LAN multiplayer?

We will release Divinity: Original Sin in the next few days. We are working on the Windows version of the game right now and waiting for the Mac build to arrive. The version of Divinity: Original Sin that will be available for sale, will be complete content-wise, and will allow for local/direct-IP multiplayer, but will come without the online matchmaking component and game auto-updating, which will be introduced as a later updates.

I would accept 'shit happens'.. but Larian have done their level best to hide the issue from us til we run smack up against them.. they knew last week the gog version was going to be inadquate... why didn't they at least give us a heads up so we wouldn't be disappointed on the day?

So, yeah, I do blame Larian, regardless of their 'accomplishments'. There have been too many screw upps with too much hiding.

But one thing I ABSOLUTELY DO hold Larian responsible for is a two month wait for a proper version of the game....Damn them for that.

You wanted the GOG version, this means you are bound to the gog infrastructure, which is not ready right now.
If you do not want Steam than donエt complain if you are losing the steam infrastructure. The choice was and still is yours. If gog would not develop galaxy at all than the current state of the game would be final for the gog version and that would be totally fine. Automatic Match-Making is not healthy anyway laugh
