There have been many examples over the last many years that we have had games or released that the heat for many users skyrocket, to have a patch created and the heat come down substantially and the performance remain the same.

Now yes ideally if you can have a well cooled system, it wouldn't crash in these cases, but more base cooling system when these things crop up can make a system weak in the knees.

Now going back far enough, we never saw that at least as gamers. So when this first started happening and proving it, it took the community a while to accept that yes they way you program different pieces of metal you can have a large responsibility on the heat it disperses.

So I agree with you, but also leave it that sometimes the code could be better handled.
