How do you cook in this game?

I added water to flour and got dough.

I added fish to dough and got a ball of dough with a fish in it.

As I understand it I'm supposed to be able to cook this to make a pie, but where? I tried putting it in the fireplaces in the houses but it won't go in there.

Am I missing some other ingredient? Do I need a pie pan or something?

Seriously I was trying to cook this pie for over an hour last night. What am I missing?

You need to use an "oven" to cook pies, go to the Cook / Quartermaster's quarters and you will see an oven on the back wall of the ground floor, place your pie dough into it to make the pie.

You can make other things with dough as well, all of which go in the oven such as apple pies or pizza, but i'll let you find out those recipes

Well dang. Reading the book made it sound like that I could just use any fire.
