Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks help please !

I have a lvl 35 warrior, went into Stormfist Castle with my invitation, roamed around ( picked up a few items and helped the cook), went to Janus's room to meet with him and he isnt there. Wasted more time, talked to folks and the brat still isnt around....of course like an idiot i saved the game and now i cant seem to make him spawn ! Have i done something wrong ??

Did you talk to him in the throne room. the one in the middle of the castle?

He is either in his room (top right corner of the castle) or he is in the trone room. If he isn't there I don't know where he could be. I have never heard of a bug where Janus would disappear so hopefully you will find him again.

I went through the initial talk with Janus in the throne room and he said to meet him in his room in 5 min, but i've been to every room in the castle 10 times looking for him although i already know where his room is but he is no-where to be found <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Maybe he's very near wall and you can't see him, use your minimap to spot if there's any green cross in his room.

I have the exact same problem now.Ihave to meet the boy in his room and I can't find him. I clicked about anywhere in his room.But there isn't a green cross on the minimap.I can't leave the castle.And i can't enter the hatch in the catle.I also saved the game and I can't do anything at all.Can someone please help me!!!

Can anyone help me because now i can't play.Or else I have to start a new game.

i found him in the throne room up hidden up against the wall, there was no green cross for him but once i was close to him he showed up so try that...good luck <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I got this weird problem too earlier. It was with the Slasher Quest. The orc that gave me the quest disappeared. The green X is visible on the map, but there's no orc there. Even weirder eh?

Heck! I was planning to kill the orc and sell the Slasher anyways <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

Did you try wandering around the room? I re-did the castle section of the game; the second time he was 'missing', but as soon as I got near the back of the room he suddenly appeared.

I am still stuck.I walked agains any wall in the catle but still can't find janus.The last save is about 10 hours before.It's really stupid.I will try to install an older version maybe that will wurk.Let's hope.
