I do not get any extra damage from the crossbow expertise while using a crossbow. First i thought that the extra damage was not displayed properly but after some testing i realize that crossbow expertise didt give me any extra damage.
I also have tested axe expertise and do not seem to get any damage bonus, none that are displayed anyway. I have not tested axe ling inough to say that i dont get any extra damage.
Is this just me or is it some huge bug?

I've think I might have that problem.
The following figures are rough (within a couple of points).
I've tried a regular Long Bow Max damage: 99 After Strength (94) and Augment Damage (5) modifiers: 150
I've tried a regular Crossbow: Max damage: 65 After Strength (94), Augment Damage (5), and Crossbow Expertise (5): 116
I notice, exactly 36 damage points difference between before and after in both of them. Where has the damage bonus from the Crossbow Expertise gone?
Larian, can you please help us! I'd rather not edit my save file to convert those skill points into the Bow.

I don't think Strength effects ranged attacks, does it? Augment Damage does not. If you save before fighting a group of monsters, you can kill them and keep track of the damage, then use iZakaroN's SaveEditor to remove (perhaps in a copy of the game) one or more points from Crossbow Expertise and kill them again. Comparing average damage at different skill levels (ie 0 and 5) with the exact same equipment and opponents should reveal if the skill works or not.

Strength definately affects ranged damage, at least with a bow. You can pull the string tighter making for a faster, more deadly arrow. And I've watched my ranged damage increase over levels with the same bow. Perhaps it doesn't affect crossbows, hence my problem. My Strength modifier is greater than my Crossbow Expertise modifier.
I think I'm going to use the editor the move those five skill points over to Bow Expertise. I'm not happy, but I don't want to waste them. I only wanted the crossbow skill as a backup so I had a super-strong, if slow, ranged weapon to help pick off higher-leveled monsters.
I'll try testing the skill like you mentioned as well.
Thanks for the sugestion!

I have saved, killd a group om mobs, when back to the save and increase the crossbow skill and killd same group om mobs. I did this several times both with first and second skill level and come to the conclution that the crossbow skill do not give the extra damage as the skill description says.
Same thing for axe skill. Im about to test the rest of the weapon skills but initial test show that all skills that give a fixed range of extra damage not work properly. The skills that give a % increase seems to work.

I'm curious, does the damage bonus for Sword Expertise work?

I'm curious, does the damage bonus for Sword Expertise work? Yes, sence sword expertise give you you an percentage not a fixed reange it works. But all weapon skills that give you a fixed damage increase do now work properly. /Mordan

Has there been another patch since 1.32? Does the fixed damage show up on the Status (T) panel?

CDV still has the next patch for testing. I think that was suppose to read "do not work properly", rather than "do now".

But all weapon skills that give you a fixed damage increase do now work properly. I ment: do NOT work properly. Big question is, how did the beta testers miss that? /Mordan
