Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - General Stuck with Esmirelda (possible spoilers)

So I got to the part where you arrest Esmirelda. I'm supposed to get a confession out of her but when i go to talk she sho's me away and i cant get any dialog out of her. When i hover over her i'm at -45 rep aparently for getting her arrested. Is there a way to get her to talk to me?

Progress with quests and try to raise your world rep.

And maybe in another life (or run through) you will be more thorough in your investigation and not arrest someone over circumstantial evidence

was i not supposed to arrest her? i had the letter, the dagger and the book

Well, if you were a lawyer, would those 3 pieces of evidence be enough to convict?

You don't need her confession to progress BTW it's just a part of the consequences of your choices in the world of D:OS

Personally, I only found the solution because of a comment from a rat in the inn with the Pet Pal talent. =P

Like I said Golden you don't need her confession to go on with the quest; as it is right now she hates you too much to talk to you anyways.

Besides you already arrested her without getting her side of the story first, what more do you want to do to her?
