Would it be reasonable-possible to enhance party members to 6, rather than four?

Possible, yes but likely very tricky. The UI would need changes (party formation buttons, character button sizing, etc) which should be straightforward but more complex issues would be game balancing (scaling up enemies to challenge a 6-size party) and pathfinding (the more characters you have, the greater the likelihood of them getting in each others' way).

Given how many problems the Infinity Engine series (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale) had with pathfinding, I suspect this would be the biggest issue.

No, why? Enemey encountered are designed and balanced for a four player party (or two players with lone wolf).

Yeah, but for what reason? The game is just fine like it is imo.

"This is your opinion." is also not a very nice answer if you ask people for their opinion... wink

It's not really his opinion; the encounters *were* balanced with a party of four in mind. Of course, the difficulty can be increased to accommodate a six person party, if modders wanted to put that extra effort forward.

that's stating the obvious, by saying that is your opinion. as you are free to say "no it's crap" I am free to say that I disagree.

If it's possible it's going to take a mod most likely and then as mentioned a mod to add 2 and then re-balance the game.

If games are better with more, then Wizardy 8 and the upcoming Lords of Xumila have 8 are even better than BG!

It's more. More is better than less. Have you not learned anything for the "It's not complicated" commercials? smile
