Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - General Zombie Jake returns to the ground [SPOILERS]

At the beginning of the fight with Evelyn Zombie Jake disappears into the ground. It looks like a reverse animation for when zombies come out of the ground. Then he disappears. I don't even get a chance to kill him, let alone talk to him. I hear there is a bug involving a church, amulet, and blue force fields but I don't even know where a church is or anything else so I doubt I have been there.

Any solutions you know of?

Do I need to start my game over to continue the game?

Edit: I reloaded a save file from before I ever entered evelyn's lair and I get the same reverse animation back into the ground.

Ahem, that's how it should work.

Jake should reappear after you killed Evelyn and her party. But until then he's gone.

hmm ill have to try to reattempt the fight then.

Is Zombie Jake somewhere around after the fight? From the conversation, it seems like he's going back to the graveyard in Cyreal but when I check there, he's no where around.

I don't want to spoiler something but you will see him again...
