I think it would be easier to not have to sift through many discussion threads, and instead to just have a ready to go list of completed mods, and a list of upcoming mods.

Most mods will probably show up at Nexus or the Steam workshop. It would be impossible to require all modders to list their mods. You could ask people to post about their mods in a particular thread, hopefully get it stickied and then make sure to curate it yourself every day to keep it up to date
