Hi @all,

i usually play with my notebook. normally i play with my NVIDIA 540M graphic. But when i try starting Original Sin with these graphic card, the game everytime crahses. When i start the game with the internal INTEL 3000, then it starts. What do i wrong (beside my poor language skills)?

I am using Windows 8.1, all drivers are up to date.

And how can i add files to this post?

i have the same problem, tho i dont crash if i force nvidia GPU (game just wont use it). Tried install newest beta drivers, but no luck. Diablo III had long time this same problem, that it used integrated graphics instead of dedicated one (tho its now fixed).

There is no way to add files to a forum post. If you are referring to the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool, you can email supportdos@larian.com. For screenshots, you can link to them, but they have to be hosted somewhere else.

If you have two GPU's in your notebook, it's best that you install the latest drivers for both of them. Then, in the nvidia control panel via right click on your desktop, you set the default GPU to NVIDIA for all 3d applications.

If this is not related to your issue, please send us a report.zip from our support tool.
It can be found here: http://www.larian.com/OriginalSinAlpha/AnalysisTool_DOS.exe
Simply run the tool and click generate report, then send this to supportdos@larian.com with a small description.

Thank you

OK, nice suggestion Issh but wrong. The problem some of us had, myself included, is that the latest Nvidia drivers may not be able to work with the laptop hardware to properly switch from integrated graphics to the Nvidia card. When I rolled back my graphics driver to an earlier version it fixed the problem. Why? Because the latest and greatest Nvidia drivers may not be the best for a laptop with integrated graphics. Instead, you should use the Nvidia graphics drivers provided by the laptop manufacturer, NOT Nvidia, as the manufacturer will have made sure the drivers work with their equipment. Hope this helps, it fixed my issue.

You need disable something in the BIOS. I had the same problem and now it's fixed.

Look for another post Graphic Adaptor not recognized by D:OS.
