Has anyone managed to disable that goddamn instakill mechanism? I can't get to the stairs on the right no matter what i do.

With high enough Perception (10+ I believe) you will be able to see footsteps on the ground. If you follow these, you will stay alive.

You can also do it without having high Perception simply by walking carefully forward. The correct path applies the Warm status to your characters (neutralizing the insta-kill mechanism).

Third option is to bomb the ground with oil and light it on fire then walk over it.

I already know about the footsteps, but there are stairs on the right that have no safe passage.
Ive tried making a fire path using "Firefly" but it doesnt work.

Just tried spamming a ton of oil and setting it on fire, doesnt work either.

Got anything that sets the Warm status then? Burning Eyes should work.

How to get up the stairs into the room to the right and not get zapped?
