A friend and I have been playing for roughly 12 hours now. We've been playing everything we've seen in Co-op so far. It's fun though but I do have a couple of remarks and I'm interested if other players have the same issues.

- We started playing on Normal difficulty but after about 10 hours we changed it to easy. This happened because we had to restart almost EVERY battle (so reload the game because we died again or something). This seems to be due to the fact that all mobs are at least one level higher than our characters at all times (throughout the Cyseal level). This made it VERY difficult to continue the story and win a battle. Changing it to easy helped a lot. We are experienced gamers so it seems Normal is a bit too hard.

- Sometimes things start exploding, poison shows up,... elemental things happen in the environment during battles and we have absolutely NO idea where it comes from. We've noticed that a fighter with no special stats can do fire damage for some reason with its basic attack and thus heal a fire mob. There is NO reason it should do that. That's why I suggest we need more information in the combat log so we know where heals/damage is coming from.

- Since we had to reload a lot we also noticed some problems with the save files. One of the things is that sometimes our characters seem to switch between players when reloaded (so I control my friend's characters). There are some other things we noticed but I didn't write it down so I'll post them in this thread if I remember them or encounter them again.

As a final consensus I'd like to say that while keeping the "old-school' RPG style of the game we should need some more pointers to what is happening or what we can do/should do. It also seems quite hard to start crafting things when you only have some minor pointers from the books you can find in the world.

This is written at the point that our characters our level 6. I hope it gets better because I love the game.

You shouldn't be fighting enemies that are a higher level than you. Either you missed out on a ton of content in town before venturing out, or you're not in the correct area.

There is a gap where you're lower than the monsters you can fight (2-3?), but if you run around and do some quests around town, you'll level up where you can fight the mobs outside of town. There's also a cave in the graveyard with level 2 monsters you can fight. Otherwise, there should be mobs that fit your level so you can progress smile

I do agree I'd like a better way to see environment affects but monsters usually make sense in what damage they do. The only fighter that does fire damage that I can recall is in the fire area?

When you bring up the menu to save/load, there's an Assign Characters (host only) so you can give your friend's characters back smile

- Maybe you are in areas that are too high for you? There is a certain path of progression if you want to make sure the party levels are consistent with the enemy levels. In fact, once you know your progression, you will end up consistently higher than your enemies... Since you are Lvl 6, have you tried going to the western beach?

- Weapons can have elemental magic. If you have a sword that does 1-2 fire damage, it will ignite anything just like a fire spell. Same for the enemies, if it's a fire skeleton it's going to do fire damage and not slashing/crushing. Also, there are things that encourage elements, e.g. you are already warm and you stand next to a fire spout = you are now burning

- That's weird and you should report the bug to the devs

The crafting system does require you to read unfortunately. It's not like Final Fantasy where crafting recipe books are literally X + Y = Z. You kind of just remember or keeping a spreadsheet for yourself.

A lot of it is logical, e.g. wheat + mortar/pestle = flour, flour + water = dough, dough + apple = apple pie dough, apple pie dough + oven/furnace = apple pie
