How to get to the room up the stairs to the right without being zapped?
Might be a late reply but I managed to get there using the pyramid teleporter.

Also, probably a weird undeleted bug - in the room where you get the blood stone there's a half-buried in the floor pig called "Spiderpig" and a mangled leg behind grate to the right. I tried luring it with apple but it didn't move, talked to it, but it had nothing to say.
