First of all, SPOILER ALERT - DON'T KEEP READING IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE THIS QUEST.

Now that that's over, I'm at the last(?) part of the Jake's Murder Quest, where I need to reveal Evelyn's lab with the spell from her house, thing is, I think I sold it or something.

What the heck do I do now? I need help!

(Note: Reloading the game is NOT an option. I've spent too much time playing the game past that part that I'd rather just stop playing the game then reload basically everything.)

I'm willing to use cheats to modding tools to get the item back into my inventory at this point.

I think you are out of luck.

Vendors doesn't seem to loose items so if you can check them all out you might be able to find buy it back again.

Fortunately I believe that the quest is not mandatory. Just accept it and continue on with the game.

Funny, this as if this happened in real life. We forget how much games usually hold our hands when it comes to this kind of thing.

You're so right Jacob. That's one thing I really like about this game is that it doesn't hold you hand. How long is this game anyway? I've spent like 20 hours in it already and I haven't even completed that quest yet, I'm just loving the environment.

I haven't completed it either but people say it is 80-100 hours.

Is there really no way to edit the item into my inventory though?

Not currently I think. I don't know if the editor can change save games.
