Hi there are so many bugs in this game i dont know where to start. The main one affecting my playthrough is the save game. Not even reached the first town yet.
Can we get a refund for this game as it is in no way ready to be released and i feel like i have been mis sold a "finished" game.

This is a great game, Oliman. I'm not sure what might be wrong with your machine, but I haven't seen a save game issue all through the Beta, of which I participated. No other major bugs have appeared in my play through of the release, either.

I'm sure there are many here who can help if you supply some hardware specs. Maybe play around with the graphics settings to see is something there is conflicting with your video card. I don't know. But your issues sound rare, and this is such a good game I think you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. It's the best RPG I've played since Fallout 3.

ChadCottle the save issue/bug is the #1 post on this tech issues forum. So many people are having the same issue. I can't make it out of the town. I can't even save a game I have to restart and recreate each time. Something is wrong and I'm sure they are working on it.

I've sent them my report file and my error log files over the past week so hopefully we see something soon.

I agree though great game from what I have been able to play.

I suppose I've been extremely fortunate, then. No crashes on either of my machines.

Hi,

If you wish to receive a refund you will need to contact the steam customer support. We do not have access to your steam account or billing info.

Guys, it's not perfect but I temporarily solved my save game/profile issue by just making a new User account and linking my Steam account to it, not sure if that would help with this issue?

Mrrockitt how does that solve your save issue? What User Account are you referring to?

As my standard Windows user, I cannot save a game at all and my profile dissapears after I exit the game.

I just went to Control Panel and created a new user with a different name and made him an administrator.
Then logged in as the new user, logged into my existing Steam account and it saw my installed games fine.
Started the game and it created the Larian Studios folder for that new user in his Document folder. (You might want to check folder permissions just in case). I also made sure that I set the EoCapp.exe file to open as Administrator.
Game then worked and saved games.
I actually then imported my old saved games from Dropbox. Annoyingly the most recent autosave would crash the game but all others worked and game has been saving fine since.
Bit of a pain looging in and out of different Users but worth it smile

Thanks to Raze on another thread for this advice!
