maybe someone might be able to help me.
Of course I wasn't able to not play around with the editor again and of course I managed to not only corrupt main, but to get rid of all sound.
I unpacked main and extracted it to mods and public. After corrupting it so hard, that nothing was working anymore I decided to delete Main from Mod and Public folder - I was trying to get the editor to accept my *.bnk files.
So just removing the Main folder from the folder Mods does not help! I have no more sound, not ingame nor in the editor. The game works, but it is giving me the silent treatment. And I hate that.
Any ideas?

I've had the exact same problem, I had to redownload 2gb audio all over again, I don't know what the editor did, but whatever was in my folder wasn't sound anymore
The problem is really that the PUBLIC folder is spamming folders left and right when you save a mod and load a mod, and one of them contains audio you end up accidently deleting the audio. Why Larian didn't make this a pack file is beyond me.
In the end it was my own fault, but this stuff shouldn't be in an active work folder Larian! Audio should be in PAK ^^
