I'm also crashing upon attempting to load any save once the Orc Boss near Black Cove has been defeated. While I can continue progressing and saving normally, no matter what I do after that particular battle concludes (enter Black Cove, return to Homestead, etc..), save games simply will not load as they result in a crash to desktop.
This includes both quick-saves and normal saves.
same exact thing happened to me as well just now. came here and found that i'm not the only one with this issue. it seems related to any saves after the Orc Boss's defeat near Black Cove.
EDIT: i loaded a save from before the Orc Boss's death and it was fine, so to me, that's definitely indicative of an issue that somehow triggers off that encounter.
