Hello

I feel that my water/wind spells do a lot less dmg then the fire specs.
Am i doing something wrong? Are there better spells out there?
Can i push my wind/water dmg only by int?

Water is more of a healing spell and I've been using it a lot to freeze enemies. Also it creates a slippery surface that if used to your advantage, will make most enemies slip and fall down.

Air is great for dropping enemies on top of each other (drop an enemy or item as close to another enemy as possible and it will do damage). Also Air spells can be used on blood splats and water to shock enemies and yourself if your not careful.

Other then constant burning, I've found fire to be very weak doing initial damage.

There is also Tornado that gets rid of smoke/clouds, poison, fire and ice surfaces.

When you get piercing ice shard, once it hits the first enemy, all other enemies, characters (including your own)and objects behind that first enemy have a chance to receive the same damage and freezing effects.

Rain can be a life saver, while playing with fire to burn enemies, if the fire starts causing massive damage to your own party, best to flood the area out and then focus on ice spells. Wet enemies freeze better then dry ones. The rain spell removes burning effects from all monsters on screen. It also weakens fire based elementals and enemies.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

If you're only comparing damage, then yeah Water and Air are weak compared to Fire. If you're considering all of the effects available, then Air is probably the best element.

Mages are not meant to deal a lot of damage...

If you are fighting a fire immune enemy, it doesn't matter how much damage your fire spell does.

When you are fighting a fire absorbing enemy, it will appreciate how your high "damage" fire spell will heal them.

You will really appreciate your water spells versus those enemies.

Spells are situational, done obsess over the numbers smile

I initially rolled a Water/Wind Mage, not knowing that the first companion you get is the same and i have not found a fire companion yet.
Is there any?

Not a companion, but you can hire henchmen of every profession a bit later in your homestead.

You could also just reskill Jahan.
